Quartz
Engineered stone with no porosity, so it never needs sealing. Consistent colour across slabs and highly resistant to scratches and household chemicals - the easiest surface to live with.
Quartz, granite, marble & porcelain countertops - Canada
A countertop is the one surface in your kitchen you touch every single day, and the first thing a guest looks at. Endy Homes fabricates and installs quartz, granite, marble, porcelain and quartzite across Canada - digitally templated in your home, cut on CNC machinery and fitted by our own crews.
Materials
Quartz and porcelain are engineered and low-maintenance. Granite, marble and quartzite are natural stone with unique veining that needs sealing. We walk you through the trade-offs before you choose.
Engineered stone with no porosity, so it never needs sealing. Consistent colour across slabs and highly resistant to scratches and household chemicals - the easiest surface to live with.
Formed under natural heat and pressure, so it shrugs off hot pans straight off the stove. Every slab is unique, and a yearly seal keeps it protected.
The luxury look nothing else quite copies. Softer and more reactive than granite, so it patinas over time - beautiful, but best suited to lower-traffic areas.
Fired at extreme temperature into a large, thin, non-porous slab. Exceptional for fireplace surrounds, shower walls, backsplashes and full-height feature walls.
A natural stone that looks like marble but behaves much closer to granite. Hard, heat tolerant, and sealed once a year.
The honest comparison, side by side. No sales spin - just how each surface behaves in a real kitchen.
| Material | Type | Sealing | Heat | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz | Engineered | Never | Use a trivet | Busy family kitchens |
| Granite | Natural stone | Once a year | Excellent | Cooks and hot pans |
| Marble | Natural stone | Once a year | Good, can etch | Statement islands, baking |
| Porcelain | Engineered | Never | Excellent | Fireplaces, walls, backsplashes |
| Quartzite | Natural stone | Once a year | Excellent | Marble looks, granite toughness |
What we make
The same slab can run up the wall, wrap an island or frame a fireplace. Anything stone can do, we fabricate.
The full run: perimeter counters, island tops, cutouts for sinks, cooktops and faucets, finished with the edge profile you choose.
Mitred corners with the veining aligned so the pattern runs unbroken from the top down to the floor.
One continuous slab from counter to upper cabinets - no grout lines, nothing to scrub.
Vanity tops with integrated or undermount basins, cut and polished to match the main kitchen surface.
Porcelain and natural stone facings that take the heat and turn the fireplace into the feature of the room.
Large-format slabs used vertically for a seamless stone wall with almost no visible joints.
Home bars, butler pantries and commercial servery counters with reinforced overhangs.
We cut the openings and set the sink. Final water hookups are completed by your licensed plumber.
How it works
Most projects are complete within one to three weeks of the final measurements.
We help you match material, colour, thickness and edge profile to your cabinets, flooring and budget - with full-size samples, not chips.
Once cabinets are level and secure, we laser-template the space so every cut matches your walls, including out-of-square corners.
Slabs are cut on CNC machinery for clean, repeatable edges. Cutouts, mitres and profiles are machined, then hand-polished.
We remove and dispose of the old countertop, install the new one, set the sink and seal any natural stone before we leave.

Liability insurance on every job, manufacturer warranties on materials and our own workmanship warranty on the install.
Questions
Quartz, granite and quartzite are the usual picks. Quartz wins on low maintenance; granite and quartzite win on heat resistance but need sealing once a year.
Quartz and porcelain never need sealing. Granite, marble and quartzite should be sealed roughly once a year to protect against stains and moisture.
Use a trivet on every surface. Quartz can scorch and marble can etch. Granite, quartzite and porcelain handle heat better, but protection is still best practice.
Most projects finish within one to three weeks of the final measure. Fabrication and installation typically run 7-14 business days after templating.
No. We remove and dispose of the old surface as part of the job. We just need the cabinets secure and the workspace accessible on installation day.
Seams are placed where they are least visible, bonded with colour-matched epoxy and polished back. On most kitchens you have to be told where to look.
Eased and bevel are standard. Bullnose, ogee and mitred edges are available for thicker or waterfall designs.
Consultation, digital templating, material pricing, cutouts, edge profile and installation - itemised, with no obligation.
Price depends on material tier, square footage, edge profile, cutouts and extras like a full-height backsplash. Entry-level quartz is the most affordable route; exotic quartzite and book-matched marble sit at the top. We give you a fixed itemised number after a free measure.
Yes. We show you full slabs rather than sample chips, so the veining you choose is the veining that ends up in your kitchen. Book-matched pairs can be reserved for waterfall islands and feature walls.
3cm is the most common thickness in Canadian kitchens and needs no plywood substrate. 2cm is lighter and often used for vertical work or on a build-up. A mitred edge can make either read as 4cm, 6cm or thicker.
Yes. Removal, disposal and site clean-up are part of the job. We just need the cabinets level and secure, and the area cleared on install day.
Send us your kitchen layout or rough measurements and we will come back with a clear, itemised quote - materials, edge profile, cutouts and installation included.
Reviews
They finished in four days and the kitchen looks like it came out of a showroom. Not a single drop of paint anywhere it should not be.

We were quoted a huge amount for new cabinets. Endy Homes did it for a fraction and honestly I cannot tell the difference.
Daniel R.
The colour consult was worth it on its own. They sprayed three samples on our own door before we picked.

Clean, on time, polite crew. Two years on and the finish still looks the day it was sprayed.
